Results of CFM Survey of Charity Energy Costs

The Charities Facilities Management Group conducted an on-line survey of charities' energy costs.

​Our on-line survey asked members of the Charities Facilities Management Group about their energy costs and contracts during winter 2012–2013. With enery prices currently rising quickly, it is vital that charities are able to compare prices and discover the best deals.

The survey asked about:

  • gas and electricity prices
  • contract types
  • use of consultants
  • facilities managers' awareness of contract terms

 

We reported in detail at our CFM Group meeting on this topic.  The survey results showed that the prices that members paid varied widely for both fuel and power.

Managing energy costs is clearly a key concern for many charity facilities managers, and we will keep an eye on this issue going forward.
